Travel and Accommodations
Where to Stay
We are hoping to have a weekend of special events, the last and biggest event of all
being our wedding in Mill Valley on Sunday, but we don’t live in Mill Valley and don’t really recommend that you stay there unless you especially love the town and what it has to offer. Instead, we recommend looking for lodging in San Francisco, Oakland, or Berkeley depending on your weekend plans and shabbos needs. A more detailed list of potential hotels can be found below, and shabbos information can be found in the website tab of the same name.
Getting to Mill Valley
While it is possible to take public transportation to Mill Valley, we suggest that you plan to arrive via carpool, taxi, or rideshare. The Mill Valley Community Center is approximately 35 – 40 minutes from both San Francisco & Oakland by car and should have ample parking! We are hoping to arrange a carpool system closer to the day of the wedding and will be in touch with more info!
Accommodations
Here are some hotel options in the area! Please know that these recommendations come based on location, reviews found online, and the vibes from the lobby. Neither of us have stayed in any of these hotels so we cannot vouch for specific experiences.
Here are some hotels in San Francisco
Cow Hollow Inn: 20 minutes (by car) from the Mill Valley Community Center and easily accessible for public transportation within the city.
Beck’s Motor Lodge: Central location and equidistant from the wedding venue (Mill Valley) and the location of our aufruf (north oakland). Plus it’s in our neighborhood which is awesome!
Laurel Inn: Another central location with convenient public transportation and ease of commute to the wedding venue.
Here are some hotels in the East Bay
Aiden: This hotel is located within the Berkeley eruv, is ~30 minutes from the wedding venue, and convenient to public transportation within and outside of the East Bay.
Sonesta Emeryville: Huge hotel that only seems convenient if you have a car, but it’s close to the highway that will take you to the wedding venue and it’s a reasonable drive & bus ride to our aufruf in North Oakland.
Hotel Shattuck Plaza: Downtown Berkeley hotel extremely convenient to public transportation and slightly out of the way for everything else!
